Hardwork pays off for Noah Vonleh

All of the hardwork and dedication has paid off for former VBG athlete Noah Vonleh who will be playing next year at Indiana University.  Noah, who is one of the top players in the country, will be playing in all-american games and be part of the USA Basketball team for his age division.  Congrats Noah, we are proud of you.

VBG High School Female Student Athlete of the Week

Congrats to Revere's Gena for being this weeks VBG Female Student Athlete of the week and being named MVP for the Northeastern Conference.  Gena Restiano who has been part of the Visionary Basketball family since 2007 averaged 15 PPG to lead the league in scoring as well as leading her team to their 4th straight Division I Tournament appearance.  This is a remarkable feat as Gena tore her ACL early in her Junior year. She worked very hard over the past year to get back into playing shape.  Congrats Gena, keep up the hard work!!!

Morgan Lumb records her 1000th career point

Congratulations to Morgan Lumb on recording her 1000th point in a win over Stoneham high school last week.  Morgan, a senior at North Andover, will be attending the University of Hartford next year.  Congratulations Morgan!!! 

Janelle Loney

Thank you for everything you taught us during camp. It was hard work, but worth it. I have used some of the drills you taught us in our practices. I am ready for the next step. Please let me know your thoughts or suggestions for college programs and scholarships.

1st game: Patch 71, Ramstein 62:

Friday at Stuttgart, senior Janelle Loney established her credentials for making the All-Europe team for the fourth straight season by scoring 30 points, stealing the ball 13 times, grabbing nine rebounds and handing out eight assists.

2nd game: Patch 54, Wiesbaden 15

Natalie Gomez

Natalie is a naturally gifted basketball player who is constantly working to bring her game to the next level. She joined VBG training programs to help her become the best female player in the New England area. Even at her young age, she has a one-on-one game that can take anyone off the dribble. She has the passion for excellence and desire to win. She is currently under the care of Head Coach Tinsley at Andover High.

"When I first saw Natalie at a one of our 6 am Boot Camp workouts last summer, I knew right away that she had the desire and talent to reach her vision. Now, it was our job to design a program that will take her there." AT, Director of Basketball

"The step by step progression stages, and the quality of the basketball training that I received was by far the best that I experienced in my years before I entered Marshall University. Prior to entering Marshall, Annette played four years on her varsity team as point guard

  • Led the team to: a 78-14 record over four years; a Midland-Wachusetts Div. I sectional championship her senior year; and, three league championships
  • Awarded 2007 Worcester Telegram All-Star Super Team; League All-Star
  • Awarded 2008 Worcester Telegram All-Star Super Team, League All-Star; League MVP; MetroWest Daily

  • Star Super Team; MetroWest Daily News Athlete of the Year Honorable Mention; Boston Globe West All-Star;
  • McDonald All-American Nominee; Westborough Invitational All-
  • Tournament Team; Big Apple All American Camp All-Star Team; Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association All-Senior Team
  • Averaged 14.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.5 steals as a senior while scoring a career high 26 points
  • Named a two-time New England AAU All-Star
  • Made four appearances at AAU Div. 1 National Tournament 

Terrance Edrington

Terrance is one of the top 8th grade boys in Massachusetts. Terrance shows not only talent, but also great character on and off the court. He is a role model for how to develop your game with a tremendous work ethic and a special talent for connecting with teammates. Keep an eye out for Terrance in gyms around Lowell, MA. 

Rachel Hebert

Rachel is another amazing story that serves as a great example to others who want to achieve their goal of making a higher-level team. That team for Rachel was the Central Catholic Varsity Girls team. Rachel's pre-season odds for making the team this year were very slim. However, with her trademark off-season commitment to raising her game, Rachel made that goal a reality. 

Danielle Martin

Danielle is one of the top high school student-athletes in Massachusetts, putting up a lot of points this season. Danielle has put in an enormous amount of time and effort, training through VBG. She is considered one of the most unselfish basketball players in the New England Area. Danielle's attitude and dedication to the game of basketball transcend through her high school teammates, who look up to her as a leader at Whittier Tech High School in Haverhill, MA. 

Sam Dowden

Sam's story is unbelievable! Just three years years ago, Sam was cut from the Andover 5th Grade travel team. Through dedication and hard work, Sam has achieved his goal of becoming one of the area's top 8th grade basketball players, leading his Andover 8th Grade Travel Team to a 29-0 season last year! 

Amanda Petrow

Amanda is in 8th grade and has improved her aggressiveness and killer instinct on the court. She is considered one of the toughest up and coming power forwards/centers in the New England area. 

Morgan Lumb

Morgan is one of the most explosive female basketball players in the New England area. Morgan is an 8th grade player who has the ability to get by anyone on the court. She plays both the offensive and defensive ends of the court well. In addition to VBC, Morgan continues to excel as part of the North Andover Town Travel program.
